In February 2023, Struts and Frets Theatre was very pleased (and somewhat bewildered) to move into our new HQ in Eryri/Snowdonia!
We've enjoyed the cast coming to stay, rehearse, cook, eat, workshop, BBQ and chill - and we want to share that experience with other creatives, to continue the tradition as the travellers' rest on your creative journey.
We'd be delighted if you, your colleagues, co-creatives, students, tutors, teachers and friends visited us and booked out the Hall for any length of time, used the space and structured your day however you saw fit, to workshop, play, explore, talk and wander.
Built in 1632 as a rest for weary wanderers, we're set in the historic valley of Prince Einion (d.984), nestled within the National Park, with water supplied by our own waterfall and sat in 1.3 acres of woodland with views to the sea. At night, the stars are bright and the only sounds are the owls and the waterfall; during the day, the sun passes over the valley to varying birdsong. The Blue Lake is a 15 minute walk away, the beach 15 minutes' walk away, next to Fairbourne train station to Barmouth and beyond.
The 10 bedroom Hall is nothing short of a tardis, with a huge lounge and fireplace, a commercial kitchen and dining hall doubling as rehearsal room, music room and dance class space, and a second lounge and games room.

The Hall shares its grounds with one bedroom self-contained Cabin. Plans are afoot to turn the sloping garden into an amphitheatre and build a stage at the bottom to create our own outdoor theatre-at-home!

And from the south, our friends Death on Demand will be coming to Panteinion Hall on Friday 7th - Sunday 9th November for a 1970s Murder Mystery Weekend, resurrect the Flower Power era as well as the culinary experience that was The Berni Inn! Designed for smaller groups and lasting from around 6pm on the Friday, all the way to late on the Saturday night (ANYTHING can happen anywhere, anytime!) with a Q&A with the actors on the Sunday morning after breakfast.
