You might've spotted little hints and clues about what our next big project will be across our socials, but you'll have to wait just a little longer before we give everything away!

‘Y Mabinogi and Other Tales’ is first and foremost a project inspired by the rich oral history of storytelling within Wales. We are adapting the oldest prose text in Britain; ‘The Mabinogion’. We intend to fuse the world of yesteryear with that of today. ‘Y Mabinogi and Other Tales’ will be an anthology piece, recounting the four branches of The Mabinogi, with some other tales strewn throughout. 

What fascinated us about adapting The Mabinogion is its rich history. This medieval Welsh text reflects the tenacity and fierceness of the Welsh spirit, which still stands strong today. ‘Y Mabinogi and Other Tales’ will be a bilingual production, though will be primarily performed in Welsh. It’s incredibly important to us that we maintain the authentically Welsh nature of these tales. By performing them in their original language, at castles that have stood the test of time in a nature similar to the way these stories are still told today, we hope to put on an unforgettable experience.
